Florence War Between The States Museum Annual Open House and Memorial Service for Steve Morris
Around 50 friends and family gathered at 3:00pm on Saturday, December 14th for a Memorial Service to honor immediate past commander of the pee dee rifles – Steve Morris.
Reverend Donald Hayes opened the service with prayer. Allen Kelly welcomed everyone and spoke some comforting words to the family. Steve Morris’ daughter (Deana M McKay) was presented a certificate honoring her father as Compatriot of the Year for Pee Dee Rifles Camp 1419. Red, white and green helium balloons were released by everyone after a poem was read by a close family friend.
Everyone had a great time of food and fellowship at the museum to honor Commander Steve Morris.
