We must save OUR flags and OUR uniforms!

In full partnership with the Confederate Relic Room & Military Museum, our Division has established a joint working arrangement to conserve the collection of tattered uniforms, torn, deteriorating battle flags, and unit flags of our ancestors. Due to the recent budget vetoes in the State Legislature, the Relic Room needs our help more than ever! How can we not act immediately to bring these glorious banners out of the darkness of decaying storage?

Following conservation, they will be on full public display! Neither the Yankees nor the politically correct media is our enemy here… rather, it is the ravages of time. We must save OUR flags and OUR uniforms… for future generations.

Castle Pinckney is the oldest remaining former military fortress in Charleston Harbor. Constructed as a state-of-the-art brick fort on the eve of the War of 1812, this horseshoe-shaped castle has played an underappreciated role during a surprising span of American history. Its parapets, casemates, and barracks have been inspected by President James Monroe and Generals Charles Pinckney, Winfield Scott, Robert E. Lee, P.G.T. Beauregard, Stephen Dill Lee, and Roswell Ripley.
