Jamie Graham is a member of Litchfield Camp #132 in Conway, SC. Jamie joined the SCV in September 2009 and is the descendant of Private Edward “Faithful” Graham who served in Captain Mayham Ward’s Waccamaw Light Artillery. He has served as the SC Division Chief Of Staff, Heritage Defense Chairman, Graves Committee Vice Chair, Palmetto Partisan Editor, 7th Brigade Lt. Commander, and the 7th Brigade Graves Registration Officer. He has also held the positions of Guardian Director, Genealogist, Webmaster, Newsletter Editor, Quarter Master, and Commander for Litchfield Camp 132. He also serves on the SCV National Graves and Monuments Committee. Jamie is a native of Horry County. He and his wife Lisa have 5 children and 11 grandchildren. Jamie is a US Army Veteran who graduated from Conway High School and attended the University of Maryland and Central Texas College, where he majored in Criminal Law.
Commander Henry Richardson is a member of the Colonel Joseph Norton Camp 45 in Seneca, SC. Henry joined the SCV in June of 2000 and is the great grandson of Private Robert O Richardson who served in CO I 1st Regiment (Butlers) South Carolina Infantry. Henry has been Camp Adjutant since 2002, Lt Commander for the camp, 1st Brigade Lt Commander, 1st Brigade Commander, and serves as committee chair for the SC Division Heritage for Youth Committee. The duties of the Division Lt Commander are to plan and institute a growth plan for the Division and to assist Division camps in growing their membership.
Joe Willis is a charter member of the H. L. Hunley Camp # 143 in Summerville, S. C. He has been a member since 1994 and a descendant of his Great Great Grandfather, Lt. Benjamin Godfrey Willis who served in Company C, 5 S. C. Calvary. He has served in many offices of the H. L. Hunley Camp #143 and is a past 9 Brigade Commander. As Division Adjutant, he is charged with administration of the records and mandates of the S. C. Division.
Commander Randy Burbage is a member of Secession Camp #4 in Charleston, SC. Randy has been a member of SCV since 1985 joining on his GG Grandfather, Private John William Burbage who served in Company D of the 2nd SC Cavalry. Serving as immediate Past Commander of the SC Division SCV, having served two terms 2006-2010. Randy has also served as Secession Camp Commander 1991-1993 and 1999-2001, SC Division Lt. Commander 1990-1992, Army of Northern Virginia Councilman 2003-2005 and 2011-2013, Hunley Commission 1995-Present, Chairman of the Confederate Heritage Trust 1993-2000, and led the recovery of sixty two Confederate soldiers from beneath Johnson Hagood Stadium. Currently serving as SC Division Flag Preservation Committee Chairman.
Kirk is a charter member of the Private Thomas E. Caldwell Camp #31 in York, S.C. He has served as Camp Commander, Newsletter Editor, Adjutant, Past Chairman for the National SCV Youth Enhancement Committee and serving as Sergeant in the N.C. Div. Mechanized Cavalry Co. B 3rd Platoon-4th Squad.
He is the coordinator for the Confederate Heritage Youth Day in Smyrna, S.C. Fortunately 2017 will be our 12th Annual Youth Day to be held.
Kirk cares very much about teaching the Truth about American History to our young and old alike. However the Youth is our Future! Being proactive in teaching about our Southern Heritage and History is so very important.
George Bragdon is a member of the Witherspoon-Barnes Camp #1445 in Lancaster, SC. George has been a member of the SCV since 1993 and is the descendant of his GGG Grandfather, Captain James Dixon Caskey who served in the 17th SC Infantry of Co. D (The Lancaster Tigers), his GG Grandfathers Sgt. James Harvey Harper and John Harper Caskey both of whom served in the 12th SC Infantry Co. I (The Lancaster Hornets). He has served as Camp #1445 Commander, Adjutant, Treasurer and 1st Lt. Commander. He currently serves on the SC Division Flag Preservation Committee.
Buzz Braxton is a member of the Rivers Bridge Camp #842 in Fairfax, SC. Buzz has been a member of the SCV for 16 years and is the descendant of Private John James Braxton who served in Company B of the 2nd South Carolina Cavalry. “As the 8th Brigade Commander my duty is to help the Brigade to be a leader in the South Carolina Division.
Commander Perry Smith is a member and Commander of the General Ellison Capers Camp #1212 in Moncks Corner, SC and is a Life member of both National & SC Division. He has been a member of the SCV since 2002 and is the descendent Pvt. Ambrose M. Smith who served with the 10 th GAVI, Co. B the Worth Rebels. He has also documented at least 26 other Confederate ancestors 7 of which died during the war. Perry has been a member of the 16 th SC Camp #36 Greenville, SC, a charter member of Capt.
P.D. Gilreath Camp #1987, Greer, SC and the H.L. Hunley Camp #143, Summerville, SC. He has served as Commander of the Gen. Ellison Capers camp since 2014 and 10 th SC Brigade Commander since 2017.
Perry is also a reenactor serving with the Santee Light Artillery out of Berkeley County, SC. After managing a manufacturing plant for 20 years, Perry now works as a consultant, a Technical Director & Technical Sales Representative for a Roofing Manufacture and works for the Berkeley County Museum by constructing and updating historic displays. He is happily married to his wife Danielle and has 3 boys ranging in age from 19 -29.
